The new version of Android Auto has become even more functional
The main innovation was an expanded set of applications available to users of the popular platform. In particular, drivers have access to software for navigation, parking or search for gas stations.
The principle of operation of the mobile version of Android Auto implies the projection of the smartphone interface on the dashboard of the car for the common use of applications and access to multimedia. Until recently, this mode of operation of the smartphone had a number of limitations in terms of functionality.
Back in January, Google began testing new categories of apps related to navigation, parking, charging station, or gas station search. Since the launch of a special library for Android Cars in March, most interested developers have linked their applications to it.
Popular apps such as Chargepoint, PlugShare, PHEV, T map, A Better Router Planner and a number of others are now available to users. According to the software developers, the corresponding update is already available for all supported car models.
